Congratulations Eric,
When I group up I pray to get as old as you are and retire, lol! You are a good man, father and husband. May God continue to shower you with blessings.

“Happy 50th Birthday Uncle Eric! You are such a big inspiration to me. You do so much for the family all the time. You constantly make sure everyone is taken care of no matter what the issue may be. You do so much for family and always keep us organized and together, and I can’t thank you enough for everything. You deserve to have an amazing day! When I get older I hope to be just like you and be able to the man in the family that everyone looks to if they need help with anything. I love and appreciate you more than you know.”

Thank you Uncle Eric for helping our family anytime we are in need and being one of the best family members I could ask for. Happy Birthday Alex Perry.
Hello Eric, congratulations😊 on retirement. Remember the summer spent on the farm in N.C.? LONNIE would be proud of you as I am🎁💝💒! Trib Perry
Congratulations on your retirement, Eric! Over 30 years in a career that requires you to consistently put the needs and safety of strangers ahead of your own is admirable. Through your actions, you have demonstrated what this country so desparately needs in policing today: integrity, honesty, fairness, and respect for all people, regardless of their background. You have been a wonderful mentor to countless children, including DJ and Jaela and I appreciate all that you have done for them and our community's youth over the years. You significantly raised the bar in leadership at SPD and left an excellent example for the next generation of leaders there to follow. Thank you for your service to our city and friendship to my family, too. May the good Lord bless you and provide you with enjoyment and happiness in this next phase of life! Sincerely, Sirena Nixon
Eric, wishing you the best on your retirement. You are so deserving of the honor. May God bless you in your future.
Best wishes again ❤️

Eric -
We go back a lot of years, New Bethel and Sarasota High. After all those years, you remained the same...that quiet, gentle spirit, always willing to help. I was not surprised one bit when you went into law enforcement. It was the perfect fit for you. Thank you for everything you've done and the sacrifices you made for our community. Over 30 years of service is a long time and definitely something you should be very proud of.
I wish you nothing but the best in your retirement. I pray this next phase of life for you far exceeds your imagination and expectations. You deserve it!

Eric, thank you for your service in our community, thank you for being a example of what a Godly man could accomplish. You are caring, funny and willing to help those who may not receive the attention needed without you. You are my go to guy whenever I need assistance in ministry, when I had questions about things going on in the community or if I just needed encouragement in the church parking lot. This quote describes what you have done so gracefully “ Work hard in silence. Let your success be your noise.” (Frank Ocean)
Sound the alarm your work at the city is done and your success is making noise! Congratulations Love ya!

CONGRATULATIONS ERIC ON YOUR RETIREMENT AFTER 30 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
ERIC, THIRTY YEARS OF SERVICE SHOULD BE REWARDED WITH A LONG PERIOD OF REST. HOWEVER, I UNDERSTAND THAT JOANIE, YOUR NOW FULL TIME DUTY OFFICER, HAS SCHEDULED YOU FOR CONTINUOUS 24/7 SHIFTS. SHE IS CONFIDENT THE TASKS SHE ASSIGNS WILL BE COMPLETED IN A TIMELY AND SATISFACTORY MANNER, SUCH THAT CODE 4 WILL AWAYS BE THE CODE OF THE DAY.
YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND THIS QUOTE FROM BYRON PULSIFER, RETIRED CRIMINOLOGIST AND MOTIVATION SPEAKER:
NEVER APOLOGIZE WHEN YOU ARE RIGHT UNLESS IT IS TO YOUR WIFE
AS YOU REFLECT UPON HOW NOW TO PROCEED, CONSIDER THESE NUGGETS OF MR. PULSIFER’S RETIREMENT ADVICE:
THE JOY OF RETIREMENT COMES IN THOSEEVERYDAY PURSUITS THAT EMBRACE THE JOY OF LIFE;
TO EXPERIENCE DAILY THE FREEDOM TO INVEST ONE’S LIFE-LONG KNOWLEDGE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OTHERS; and
TO ALLOCATE TIME TO PURSUITS THAT ONLY RECEIVED,IN YEARS OF WORKING, A FLEETING MOMENT.
AGAIN, CONGRATULATIONS ON A CAREER WELL DONE. BEST OF LUCK IN THE FUTURE.
YOUR FRIEND,
PEGGY TILGHMAN
Well Mr. Eric, welcome to the “R” club. So glad you made it out with all of your faculties. SPD was a good view into the (3) ring circus. Hope you enjoyed some fun times with Brenda, McHale, Bonner, Stockton & other like minded officers. Take care, “Island Chick”. Donzia

Congratulations on a mile stone that you have a accomplished with God in your life. Being able to retire is big and I want to wish you nothing but "Great" things to come. By Martin Luther King. Eric we all love you!!

Dear Eric,
We are so proud of who you are. We will always respect and honor you. You have been a great help to so many people. You have been steadfast, immovable and a man of your word. We want you to know that your labor is not in vain. God sees and knows your hear towards all people.
You have always been strong and courageous, overcoming whatever obstacles came your way.
Eric, we thank you for being the great uncle in the world to our kids. My mind goes back to the Christmas when the boys saved all their money to buy a Sega Genesis game unit, but they still did not have enough, but they did not know that, because you told them you would pick it up for them. You bought the game unit and several games and never told them they did not have half of what they needed to buy all the things with their money. Thank you.
Eric, even though you are our little brother, you always carried out as our Big Brother. Thank you.
Love you, Elois
Eric, Congratulations 🏆🎊🎉🎈🎈.. My little big brother. I am so very proud of you, you said that you were going to retire at "50" and you did the dam thing. When I grow up I want to be just like you...lol. Sarasota will not be the same without you looking out for them. The kids are truly going to miss you. But the seeds that you have sone will grow because of you. Eric you are truly a role model that can't be copied you have left your own legacy within all of their hart's. Ruth Hall had a boy and turned him into a King. I know she's in heaven smiling saying that's my boy. I would also like to thank you for always treating your sisters like they are Queen's and being the role model in our family. I love my little big brother and may God continue to use you to be a blessing to all as you continue your life's journey.
PS. Don't forget about that family trip we talked about when you retired.💖💖
